Bob Williams, alias "Dr. Bob" is a family physician in rural Alabama. He grew up in Wilcox County, through which runs the Alabama River. Growing up, he spent a lot of time on the creeks and the river and hunting in the hills and hollows of the county. He loves to camp and boat and be on the water. He attended the University of Alabama, where he earned first a degree in chemistry, then a doctor of medicine, spending three years in Vermont as a medical resident along the way. He is in his thirtieth year of medical practice in Opp, Alabama. He also raises goats, performs locally as a musician, and dabbles in oil painting. Not satisfied with these tomfooleries, he is now trying his hand at fiction writing.
