Needlework
“I
have always been a craft person,” notes Virginia Lee. She has worked for many
years creating pictures, baskets, Raggedy Ann dolls, and various forms of
needlework. It is this needlework that is especially showcased now.
From
craft books, Virginia orders kits, which have designs stamped onto cotton and
polyester items such as tablecloths, pillows, and pillowcases. In several weeks
to sometimes months, Virginia completes the kit using her needlework skills –
cross-stitching, embroidering, and others. The final product is an attractive
piece of adorned linen.
Seeing
her finished product is the reward for the hard work and time that are put into
each project.
Her work is only available to the public at Black Belt Treasures or
from the artist herself.
