Jewelry

Pat Bryant learned the intricate technique of jewelry making while working in a jewelry store during her teenage and young adult years. She went on to earn her education degree from Clemson and now works as a pre-school teacher. Pat admits that as odd it may seem the idea of making her own jewelry came to her in a dream. So, she pulled from her past experience with a jeweler and began to create her own works of art.

Pat receives her inspiration from fashion and ready-made jewelry. She chooses her color pallet from seasonal and popular trends, and her favorite colors are pink, black, aqua, and blue. Pat uses glass and polymer beads and wooden beads that she hand paints. Holding the wooden beads on a pipe cleaner, Pat paints tiny designs with a toothpick. Three coats of shellac are applied to retain the color and provide a glossy sheen.

Pat’s art is also available on her website www.justalike.com.
