Painting
Faye started painting “just for fun”. What
started as a hobby has become a small business. Her medium is acrylics,
and she paints on canvas, glass and fabric. Although she said she did not
have any special training, her work is very well controlled.
Faye takes special orders from customers on
whatever they want painted. Serving plates, aprons and canvas rugs are
currently on display at Black Belt Treasures. Her turnaround time, depending on
the surface, is usually three to five hours.
She said that the most rewarding or enjoyable
aspect of her creations that she receives for her work is seeing the satisfied
look on the customer or recipient’s face upon seeing her creation.
