Dallas County, Alabama
Francesca Emerson, who is now over 80 years old, penned her life story as a black woman with an unwavering determination to rise above the challenges of the ghetto and become the best she can be.
She shares" I've been a woman of many firsts- as one of the first black Playboy Bunnies, the first black female assistant film editor, and the first black real-estate broker in Selma, Alabama. I've lived a full and exciting life and am now happily retired, spending my time between Sydney, Australia, and Selma, Alabama."
Francesca has found a new love in pottery, and has taken to it like a duck to water. Creating beautiful ceramic sculptures with clay and delicate lace brings her immense joy.
Witnessing the transformative magic of different glazes during a bisque firing is truly enchanting. Each piece that emerges from the kiln fills her with an overwhelming sense of wonder and beauty. Hop on over to her Instagram: The Chocolate Bunny Book, and join her on this incredible journey!
