Collage Art

Katherine (Kathy) Ross grew up in a family that encouraged creativity and was often given scraps of paper and fabric to play with. As a special education teacher with a specialty in autism, she has years of experience using art as therapy.

A series of events has left Katherine with Complex PTSD and she has been unable to work for a number of years. She is using her experience with art therapy to help herself cope with her symptoms. She uses rubber stamps, plain and printed papers, old books, magazine images, inks, paints, and more to create.

Kathy does most of her creating at her sister’s studio in Forest Home, Alabama but resides in Pine Apple, Alabama with three special needs rescue dogs and an elderly half-blind cat.
