Eric Miller, a fifth generation descendant of the Miller family of
folk potters in Alabama, continues to work in the shop that his father Hendon
Miller built in 1964.He and several other potters in the family, including son
Steve and cousin Allen Ham, still dig clay from the Perry County site used by
earlier ancestors.
