Lolita Dickenson is an enthusiastic painter who loves the creative
process. She has done various forms of art over the years and has won
many awards, mostly for her paintings. She has taken classes at the Dillman Art
Center in Wisconsin, and at the University of South Alabama. Lolita studies the
Old Masters and takes instruction from other local artists.
In her home studio, Lolita
uses oils, acrylics, and watercolors to create realistic paintings that are
semi-abstract. She finds inspiration for her landscapes and stills from the
simplistic life of her country surroundings. Lolita’s love of water is
reflected in her interpretations of river and sea scenes. She paints for
herself while giving the viewer pleasure from what they observe in her
artwork.
Lolita’s art is also available at the Santa Rosa
Gallery, at Lyonshare in Fairhope, and the Cathedral Square Gallery in Mobile.
