Jackson Knight is a historian, photographer, and author dedicated to preserving the rich heritage of Alabama’s Black Belt region. Through extensive travel and research, he has documented over 1,500 historic churches, capturing their architecture, stories, and locations before they disappear. His growing series of photo books showcases these sacred spaces county by county, offering a unique visual record of rural Southern history.
