Alan G Brooks - an artist who is originally from Birmingham, England. He moved to America in 2003. Alan and his artist wife, Becky moved to Frisco City where they now live and work.
Alan has been working as an artist professionally since 1978, the year he got his first job illustrating 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' for the BBC. He continued to work in the publishing and entertainment industry and painted book jackets, movie posters and music album covers for some of the top design groups, authors, and bands on both sides of the Atlantic. As the publishing world made the transition to digital art and Photoshop he too moved to that work. For over ten years he worked with one of the top art agencies in New York providing book jackets, advertising, comics, and movie poster design.
Alan's love of sci-fi and fantasy art continued through the years, and he gained commissions from Lucasfilm to digitally paint covers and designs for Star Wars books and merchandise. This continued with work for Universal and Star Trek in a similar way.
He now devotes more time to developing his own projects and ideas. He has a love for drawing and painting with traditional methods - paint and pencil still rules in his own opinion.
