Hale County
Fiber Arts
Betsy started her craft in February, 2011,
and proudly said that she was taught by her eighty-two cousins! A lifelong
resident of Hale County, her family has been living there since 1823. She
enjoys working with yarn and as she said, “crocheting is a hobby” for her. She
feels God helped her as her guide.
Depending on the difficulty of the pattern
that Betsy uses for her dolls, and other creations, finishing each project can
take from two days to two months. Betsy’s cousins should be proud of the
techniques she learned from them. She learned her lessons well, as the degree
of the difficulty of her patterns would take years to learn.
