Painting

Teresa Cammack has always had a passion and desire to paint. But she did not have the confidence to show her work to the public until she was an adult. A self-taught artist, Teresa uses painting as her creative outlet. She is continuing to learn through practice and application, becoming surer of herself as an artist. Inspired by the Old Masters, Teresa creates art that can be characterized as realistic and abstract, a contradiction that fits her personality.

Teresa paints with her emotions. She paints what she feels not what she sees, thus creating passionate displays of color that can appear to be extreme. Her angels are meant to pass along messages of peace and hope while still conveying the harsh realism of life.

Teresa’s artwork can also be seen at the Southern Hub and the Selma Library in Selma.
