Paintings Using Water Based Oils
and Pastels
A life-long artist, Sandy Greene has returned to the medium of
painting after focusing on photography for many years. Her art background
begins in high school and before, where she was the individual who was always
asked to draw for the school paper, the prom, and at any other times when art
was needed. Sandy holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Alabama
and has taken additional courses in watercolor, stained glass, and other media
since then. She also has taught art classes for ten years.
In addition to her painting, Sandy has worked with pottery,
stained glass, and photography. Her re-emergence in the world of painting has
been rewarding – almost as much as spending time with her five grandchildren.
Sandy’s work is often shown at the various art shows
and at a frame shop in the Selma area.
