Two Roads Diverged
Using the poetry of Robert Frost, "The Road Less Taken", Joan Barfield constructed a framed 11"x14" painting of a forest scene in which the traveler had to choose between which path he should follow. He chose the less traveled and ended up feeling all the better for it. This is a joyful, cheerful, and inviting piece made with acrylics on paper and is displayed in a frame with glass. The vibrancies of the yellow and orange colors in this fall forest scene contrasting with the deep blue sky invite the traveler to choose one of the two paths in the foreground.
