Irvin Pettway takes his designs from the Gee's Bee Quilters.  He always wanted to contribute to his heritage's artistry, so he chose to draw and paint.  He draws up quilts on pieces of paper, canvas, or wood.  This piece in particular is covered with diamonds and triangles to create a "starbirst" effect.  It is mostly green and blue hues with pops of purples and pinks.
